1959年生まれ。
高校1年の時に写真に興味を持ち、初めて一眼レフを手にする。それ以後、風景をメインに写真を撮り続ける。そして、３０歳の時に野鳥に興味を持ち、野鳥がメインの被写体となる。
2004年にフィルムからデジタルに移行。現在も野鳥をメインとしたネイチャーフォトを撮り続けている。
絶景や有名ポイントは素晴らしいと思うし、一度は行ってみたい。でも、四季折々に微妙にそして大胆に変化する身近な風景が好きだ。派手な鳥や珍鳥も素晴らしいと思うし、一度は見てみたい。でも、通い慣れたフィールドで出会う普通種が好きだ。
美しい自然環境の中で、生き生きと一生懸命暮らしている野鳥たちのありのままの姿を表現したい。それらを他人とは違った自分なりの感性で切り取ってみたい。そういう思いで撮り続けている。
日本の美しい自然、森羅万象を肌で感じ、気負うことなくシャッターを切りたい。自然に対して奢ることなく、謙虚で自然体でいたいといつも思っている。

I became interested in photography in my first year of high school, and get my first SLR camera. Since then, I have continued to take photographs mainly of landscape. At the age of 30, I became interested in wild birds, which became my main subject
In 2004, I switched from film to digital. I continue to take nature photographs, mainly of wild birds.
I think spectacular scenery and famous points of interest are wonderful, and I would like to visit them at least once. But I prefer familiar landscapes that change subtly and boldly from season to season. I think beautiful birds and rare birds are wonderful and I want to see them at least once. But I like the common species I encounter in the fields I am accustomed to visiting.
I want to express the wild birds as they are in their natural habitat, living their lives in the beautiful natural environment. I want to capture them with my own sensibility, which is different from that of others. That is what I have been photographing.
I want to feel the beauty of Japan's nature and all things in the forest, and take the shutter without overeagerness about it. I always want to be humble and in natural without arrogance about nature.
